Day 10 - Let the children come…

Monday July 24 - Today was Day One for Day Camp, which is a fun day for over 100 children from ages 4 to 12 to come learn about the Bible and experience the love of Jesus through activities such as worship music and dance lead by Ashley, Jasmine and hometown singer, Erick, sports, crafts, memory verse and a Bible lesson, today’s was from 1 Samuel 3, God’s calling of Samuel while he was under the tutelage of Eli. Groups of children were lead by counsellors from the RAM team, such as Isaac, Joy and Niya, along with local teens who were previously campers themselves. 12 children invited Jesus into their hearts and 2 made professions of faith.

Tuesday July 18 - Today started with the morning devotional under the Dome, followed by a visit to a local clinic to distribute care packages to patients. The worship team spent the afternoon preparing for the marriage conference later that night.  The marriage conference has become a very special night for couples to come in their finest for a night out with their spouses. Over   50 couples attended the conference, this year entitled "Fanning the Flame." The couples were treated to a delicious dinner, a special photo shoot and a powerful exercise facilitated by Pastor Darrell and Minister Tara.  The evening concluded with a precious time of couples renewing their vows and partaking in Communion together.

RAM 2023 Fundraiser

  Roatan Alive Mission Fundraiser - Cornerstone Christian Community Church Every mission trip captures the heart of those prepared to go into the mission field along with those who support the purpose of the mission. This was certainly evident at the RAM fundraiser where the team and supporters of the mission gave generously of their time, energy and resources. The event was well attended with over 100 in attendance.  A team of volunteers transformed Cornerstone's lobby into a dinner and show event; providing attendees with a taste of what the mission trip will entail.  Arroz con pollo (seasoned rice with chicken, frejoles refritos (refried beans), ensalada (green salad) and chimol (fresh salad) which are typical Roatanian fare comprised the main course for dinner, accompanied with fresh cut fruit, flan and arroz con leche (rice pudding) for dessert.  Throughout the evening, personal and video testimonies were shared to leave the guests with a better understanding of he Roatan Aliv

RAM 2023: "Return to Me says the Lord God Almighty" - Zechariah 1:3

  Welcome to the 2023 edition of the Roatan Alive Mission (RAM)!!!  This year's theme was impressed upon our team leader and ministry co-founder, Darla Sutherland, which came during her personal devoted prayer time for the mission. The Lord impressed on her Zechariah 1:3 - "Therefore tell the people: This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘Return to me,’ declares the Lord Almighty, ‘and I will return to you,’ says the Lord Almighty."  In a sense, this will be a return for the mission since there has been a hiatus,  due to the pandemic,  for many journeying back to Roatan  This year's trip promises to be one of the largest teams ever going, with over 40 committed; half being from Canada and the other half from Miami. Planning and prayer meetings have already been well underway. Today, we gathered to  plan and pray over the logistics for the trip as well as for the fundraiser on Saturday June 4th.
