Day 8 - A Day Set Apart
Saturday July 22 - The second day of the women’s conference was entitled “A day set apart for women”. The women were ministered to body, spirit and soul, through the teaching from the Word by minister Tara and Gianina, worship music and dance, a picnic style lunch, panel discussion and creative workshops and one on health and wellness. The event ended with sharing from a couple women on how enriching the conference and RAM had been to them. Glory to God!
What a refreshing day we had in the Lord today!
Approximately 60 women attended the second part of the 15th annual women's conference. The praise and worship felt like a taste of heaven.
The conference had a holistic focus on catered to the spiritual, physical, social and creative needs of the women.
Dr. Stacey led a wellness workshop about healthy eating and diabetes prevention. The women were then served a nutritious lunch that reflected the principles in Dr. Stacey's workshop. A special thank you goes out to the amazing men on the Roatan Alive team who served the ladies with such love and grace.
After lunch, the women thoroughly enjoyed their creative workshops which included card making, floral design, vision boards and button making.
Minister Tara Owens and Gianina preached two messages. The first was about Martha and Mary and the second was about Elizabeth and Mary. They imparted many important principles to the woman, but one key message was the importance of building one another up. There was a special prayer time where an older woman prayed for a younger woman and then vice versa.
The conference began at 8 a.m. and concluded at 5 p.m. with a time of testimony from the women of Roatan. They expressed deep appreciation for the mission and testified about the profound impact RAM has had on their lives. The women left encouraged, refreshed and determined to spread the love of Jesus to their communities.
Women of Roatan, we will keep you in prayer and we can't wait to see you next year! We love you!
Roatan Alive Mission is about serving and building relationships in the name of Christ. Many new ones are formed through these acts of service with one another.
