RAM 2023 Fundraiser

Roatan Alive Mission Fundraiser - Cornerstone Christian Community Church

Every mission trip captures the heart of those prepared to go into the mission field along with those who support the purpose of the mission. This was certainly evident at the RAM fundraiser where the team and supporters of the mission gave generously of their time, energy and resources. The event was well attended with over 100 in attendance.

A team of volunteers transformed Cornerstone's lobby into a dinner and show event; providing attendees with a taste of what the mission trip will entail. Arroz con pollo (seasoned rice with chicken, frejoles refritos (refried beans), ensalada (green salad) and chimol (fresh salad) which are typical Roatanian fare comprised the main course for dinner, accompanied with fresh cut fruit, flan and arroz con leche (rice pudding) for dessert.

Throughout the evening, personal and video testimonies were shared to leave the guests with a better understanding of he Roatan Alive Mission. Co-founder Charles Sutherland reminded us all that we are all made for mission whether it be in our home, workplace or abroad, that Christ was the first missionary and that His disciples are called to continue His mission until His return.

Guests were hosted through the evening by MC Darcie Sutherland and treated to selected worship songs, performed by Dan & Kimberley Mullins and singers, such as "Goodness of God" as well as mission favourite.  "Restore Us".

The event was ended by Darla Sutherland thanking everyone for their continued support and asking for continued prayer as the team prepares to go.
