The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working - James 5:16bDAY 2 - Sunday July 14 - Our first full day in Roatan started as always with our daily morning worship meeting at 7:30am under the "Dome" at our hotel which faces onto the Caribbean Sea. The venue is certainly conducive to praising and worshiping our God, the Creator of all things. Tia Darla lead us in song, shared a devotional and closed in prayer. Our day will be spent in the houses of the Lord, churches in Coxen Hole and French Harbour, as well as, a "tabernacle" set-up what is normally the Island Saloon, for the Men's Hog Fry. We anticipated a day filled with praise and worship of the Lord ... the Lord, as always, exceeded our expectations - DC
After lunch the women went back to the resort while the men stayed for the "Men Under Construction" outreach. About 60 local fellows, mostly teens and younger men, showed up. It was a powerful time, with worship music, Christian rap, another challenging message from Darrell, capped off with three very powerful testimonies from young men from the Connecticut contingent, how the Lord rescued them. We were all encouraged, and had some great conversations! The event was advertised as a "fry hog" which turns out to be a plate of fried pork and plantains.
Then back on the bus to a Spanish-speaking church right by the ocean in French Harbor, further east. Darrell repeated his message, again calling the children up front, where we again prayed over them. He had one little 9yr old boy stand up front, to show the age of the little guy who gave his lunch to Jesus (the only time Jesus ever accepted help with a miracle). We were very warmly welcomed wherever we we went! - DG
Praise God!; I am standing in prayer with you for Salvation for the Honduras people, and a blood of Jesus over the mission teams as you'll minister to others.
