DAY 8 - Saturday July 20 - The day started with us bidding farewell to the Connecticut team, and a few from Toronto (Junior) and Florida (Ashley, Jazzmine), however we were also able to welcome Simone, the Sutherland’s daughter who traveled all the way from Switzerland, Artrice, Cynthia, Amanda and Tristan from Florida at the airport. After lunch, we all returned to ESBIR to do final preparations for the second half of the marriage conference later that night.

He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the downtrodden will be freed from their oppressors, and that the time of the Lord’s favor has come. - Luke 4:19

This afternoon, Charles, Johan, Aaron and Darren met with Pastor Bill at the local Coxen Hole jail to minister to men being held there. Pastor Bill came armed with a keyboard, portable speaker and the Holy Spirit as we were able to speak to them from right outside the jail. Pastor Bill started with introductions and worship songs. Charles then shared from the Word and verses from the Bridge Illustration, followed by testimonies from Aaron and Darren and finally Charles extended an invitation to invite Christ who was knocking at the door of their heart to receive Him in as their Savior; 7 of the 9 men invited Him in. Aaron and Johan proceeded to give each a care package with a Bible in either Spanish or English. As we were leaving, a young man, who had been released after a meeting with the court, returned which evoked a hallelujah and warning from some of his fellow cell mates to not return. Praying for the Lord to set the captives free. - DC
“... you have abandoned the love you had at first. Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent, and do the works you did at first...” - Rev 2:4b-5a
26 couples are here for the second night of the marriage conference including the couple above which the RAM 2017 team had helped get married and a couple that enjoyed it so much that they invited their friends, as well as, parents to come. It is a "formal" night, and the couples are here all dressed up. We served them a nice meal - Chinese food, on an island where it is not available! Pastor Darrell and wife Tara are taught about cultivating and rebuilding our marriages. Please pray for them - the God who answers prayer is powerful! It went very weĺl, and ended with a communion service, where the couples had an opportunity to confess to and forgive each other, then to make things right with the Lord, then give the elements to each other. It was a perfect ending to a great time! - DG

Prayer requests:
• Continued strength, unity and protection. It is amazing we are not more tired than we are - it can only be the Lord!
• Receptive (not rebellious) hearts in the teens tomorrow, that many would turn to the Lord.
• Wisdom and power for those leading.

Prayer in itself is not powerful - it is our God Who answers those prayers Who is powerful and He gets the glory!!
