“But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me.- John 15:26

DAY 11 - Tuesday July 23 - We started our day, as always, with our daily devotion and a very moving testimony from sister Tara, sharing from Luke 24:13-17, on the road to Emmaus. Tara  encouraged us that Jesus walks with us even during times of distress , dispair and disappointment.

On the second day, we were able to accommodate another 500 plus children but this time with a lot less stress as there were many returning from the previous day which cut down on the registration time, as well as, the counselors were more accustomed to the schedule and children. It always amazes me at the number of young people who are eager and willing to participate as volunteers for 5 hours, many of them after school, to shepherd 15-30 younger children at a time. We have seen them during the course of the week at other events, many of them have grown up in the RAM Bible Camp over the years so are now giving back to those who have come after. I was extremely thankful for Maritza, who is a Sunday school teacher for a church that meets in the very hall where we were sharing the bible story about Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem, as she had each group of children full engaged and eager to answer her questions. Without these local volunteers, it would not be possible for us to cater to these masses. God provides. The involvement of the local people of the "Rock" is what Darla has been stressing for much of our time here, for she knows that once our team has left this year that it takes the efforts of the local leaders in the church and community to continue to do God's work on the island and that sometimes a catalyst or encouraging word is all that is needed for them to continue to do so. From what we have seen and heard, they have been encouraged, willing and able to do so. Praise the Lord. - DC

Pleasant words are a honeycomb, Sweet to the soul and healing to the bones. - Proverbs 16:24
These are the words that Kinani's mother, Kirian, and the 141 women had come to the conference eagerly anticipating to hear. Kinani had encouraged her to go because of  what she was experiencing at the youth event and now bible camp. Kirian has been battling with depression so was in tears when she shared and prayed with Aleida; how she was lifted up after hearing the truth about her identity in Christ, which Aleida had spoke on. She however was not the only one in tears that night. When Aleida recounted how the night had gone upon her return to our hotel, she was in tears of joy as she praised and gave thanks to God and for Tia Darla's faith and encouragement these past few months that she would be used to touch the lives of others. She and all the women that spoke this night (Darla, Haydee, Evelyn, Gianina, Aleida & Tara) were also thankful for the prayerful support and encouragement poured out earlier in the morning and during the day. - DC

It's the end of another God-filled day! Just briefly, we had about 525 campers today and 141 women out for the seminars this evening. The women are learning that they have value and strength and are loved! - DG

Prayer requests for tomorrow:
• Safety for the team and the campers.
• That we would be a blessing and be blessed in all our encounters tomorrow, that Jesus would fill us and shine through us.
