“And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.” - Col 3:14

Tuesday July 21 - One of the things that makes Roatan Alive Mission so special is its commitment to strengthening marriages and families. They recognize how Satan attacks God's people in the last days by first attacking the family. For several years now, they have hosted a Marriage Conference to help build and strengthen the marriages of the local community.

Tonight, Pastor Darryl and Minister Tara shared how powerful our words are in a marriage. For those of us who have been married for many years, it's easy to take each other for granted and unintentionally hurt one another through the words we speak. Instead of giving a long message about love, they encouraged us to guard our tongues, to use our words to build each other up, encourage one another, and speak life into our marriages. It was such a practical and authentic message, and honestly, it's something every marriage needs. At the end of the evening, all the couples were invited to renew their wedding vows, choosing one another once again before the Lord and committing ourselves to becoming a blessing to each other through our words.

This year, we chose to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary by joining the Roatan Alive Mission team, and that made this Marriage Conference especially meaningful for us. Led by this wonderful pastor couple, we renewed our covenant with each other, invited God once again to reign over our marriage, and prayed that our marriage would continue to be a blessing to others.

As if that wasn't enough, our Roatan family surprised us with a very special gift, a beautiful keepsake from Roatan engraved with our names. We were deeply touched by the love, kindness, and blessing from this incredible family.

Thank you, my Roatan family. We love you all so much! ❤️ - Betty
